Trash:  Tuesdays and Fridays
Recycling and Yard Waste: Fridays
Special Pickups call 703-368-0500 in advance!

Materials should be placed at the curb in their respective carts (toters) no later than 6am.
Service will take place between 7am and 5pm.

Yard Waste should be bundled, bagged or placed into a container labeled Yard Waste.  Only brown paper or clear bags should be used. DO NOT use black plastic bags.  It is assumed that only trash gets placed into black plastic bags.  And thus it may confuse our workers and your leaves may not get picked up.

The following items will NOT be collected: dead animals, oil, paint, stains, batteries, construction or remodeling material, manure, tree stumps, mulch, sod, dirt, stone, rocks, cement, bricks, poisons, dangerous acids, caustics, explosives or other dangerous material or items too large or
heavy to be loaded in collection vehicles safely.

SPECIAL PICKUPS

We will provide curbside pickup for the following: furniture, extra yard debris, mattresses,
and other large non-metallic household items (not to exceed 2 cubic yards total in volume) on your second
collection day.  There will be an extra charge for pickup of ferrous metals/white goods such as stoves,
refrigerators, washers, dryers, hot water tanks and other bulky metallic items.  White good prices range from 25 to $150 depending on item and are subject to change.  All SPECIAL PICKUPS will be scheduled by
appointment only, and should be called in to our office at least 24 hours in advance.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

American picks up on all holidays except NEW YEARS DAY, THANKSGIVING DAY AND CHRISTMAS DAY. 

If regular service falls on any of these occasions, the next pickup will be on your next scheduled service day. 

Christmas trees will be collected the first two weeks in January.

DAMAGED CARTS (Toters)

If your cart (toter) is damaged please call 703-368-0500 to have it repaired.  Repairs are complimentary as long as it is due to normal wear and tear.  There will be a $75 replacement
charge for each cart (toter) that is lost, stolen, defaced or damaged beyond repair due to the resident’s negligence & will be billed to the homeowner.
